A severe snowstorm affecting the north and east of Kazakhstan caused a major accident. As a result of the chain collision involving 95 vehicles, 11 people were injured.

CHAIN COLLISION INVOLVING 95 VEHICLES
In the chain traffic accident caused by bad weather conditions and drivers not adhering to speed limits and distances, 95 vehicles were damaged. According to a statement from the Kazakhstan National Highways Operating Company (KazAvtoJol), the accident occurred at 13:28 local time on the Astana-Petropavl highway. The chain collision, which occurred due to some drivers exceeding the speed limit while heading towards Shuchinsk, resulted in damage to 95 vehicles.
11 PEOPLE INJURED
In a statement made by the Akmola regional police department, it was reported that 11 people were injured in the chain collision. The statement noted that one lane was completely cleared after the accident and traffic flow had resumed, while cleanup efforts were ongoing.
