The attacking council member Bayram calmly entered, headed towards the table. He attacked the journalist sitting at the table. The violence against the journalist, who fell to the ground from his seat, did not stop there. The journalist, who received kicks to the head, fainted. The assailant then left the scene. Restaurant staff assisted the fainted journalist lying on the ground for several minutes.
A CRIMINAL COMPLAINT WAS FILED
The attacked journalist Hakan Sataroğlu filed a criminal complaint against the assailant. The Balıkesir Journalists Association also condemned the attack with a message they published.
