In the investigation into the murder of Narin Güran, who was killed in Diyarbakır, a judge requested the release of her mother, Yüksel Güran, and her brother, Enes Güran, who were sentenced to aggravated life imprisonment. On August 21, 2024, in the rural Tavşantepe neighborhood of the Bağlar district, after going missing, the lifeless body of Narin Güran was found on the 19th day of the search efforts, hidden in a stream bed inside a sack, covered with three stones weighing 30, 25, and 20 kilograms, and concealed by bushes. A case has been opened against 4 individuals at the Diyarbakır 8th High Criminal Court regarding Narin Güran's death.
HEAVY LIFE SENTENCE FOR 3 FAMILY MEMBERS IN NARIN GÜRAN MURDER Uncle Salim Güran, mother Yüksel Güran, and brother Enes Güran, who had DNA and hair samples belonging to Narin in their vehicle, were taken into custody. Afterward, neighbors Nevzat Bahtiyar, who confessed to transporting the body to the stream bed, was charged with 'intentional murder of a child in complicity.' A heavy life sentence was requested for Salim Güran, Enes Güran, and Yüksel Güran for 'intentional murder of a child in complicity,' while Nevzat Bahtiyar was sentenced to 4 years and 6 months in prison for 'destroying, concealing, or altering evidence of a crime' during the second hearing of the case held on December 28.
