Following two consecutive earthquakes that occurred yesterday in the Gemlik district of Bursa, another earthquake measuring 4.3 in magnitude struck the same area today at 1:57 PM. AFAD measured the depth of the earthquake at 12.91 kilometers. The tremor, felt in Istanbul, Bursa, and Yalova, caused fear among the residents. Minister Yerlikaya announced that field surveys have been initiated.

EARTHQUAKE MEASURING 4.3 IN GEMLIK
The AFAD Earthquake Department announced the magnitude of the earthquake as 4.3. The earthquake, which occurred in the Gemlik district of Bursa at 13:57, was recorded at a depth of 12.91 kilometers.
KANDİLLİ SAID "4.4"
Kandilli Observatory announced the magnitude of the earthquake in Gemlik as 4.4. According to Kandilli, the earthquake occurred 7.5 kilometers below the surface.
FIRST STATEMENT FROM YERLİKAYA: FIELD SCANS HAVE STARTED
Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya made a statement regarding the earthquake, saying: "An earthquake measuring 4.3 has occurred in Bursa Gemlik. All teams from AFAD and our relevant institutions have immediately started field scans. As of now, there is no negative situation. I extend my best wishes to the citizens affected by the earthquake. May God protect our country and nation from disasters."
