In Şanlıurfa, CHP Provincial Board Member Evren Efe Ödemiş was found dead in his vehicle by the Atatürk Dam Lake. The teams that discovered a suicide note inside the car took the individual's body to the Şanlıurfa Forensic Medicine Institution after conducting an examination.

Last night around 10:00 PM in Şanlıurfa, citizens noticed a person motionless inside a parked vehicle in the Çatak area of the Atatürk Dam Lake, which borders the Bozova district. Upon receiving the news, gendarmerie and medical teams arrived at the scene, and after opening the locked vehicle, they determined that the person had passed away during their inspection.

A SUICIDE NOTE WAS FOUND IN THE VEHICLE

Upon examination, it was determined that the person inside the vehicle was Evren Efe Ödemiş, a member of the Provincial Executive Board of the Republican People's Party (CHP) in Şanlıurfa, and that he had been poisoned by carbon monoxide gas resulting from burning coal inside. The teams that found a suicide note in the vehicle transferred the person's body to the Şanlıurfa Forensic Medicine Institution after the examination. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
