A citizen named Furkan Safi, who traveled from Istanbul to Corum to buy a vehicle he saw in an advertisement, purchased the vehicle for 485,000 TL after negotiations. On his way back to Istanbul, Safi experienced the shock of his life at the inspection after the vehicle broke down on the road.

Recently, another fraud incident has occurred. This time, the victim was a citizen named Furkan Safi, who went from Istanbul to Corum to buy a vehicle.

BOUGHT A VEHICLE FOR 485 THOUSAND TL

Furkan Safi took action after seeing an advertisement on social media. He agreed on the terms, but allegedly he was told that the vehicle had no changes and that its mileage was approximately 300,000. After learning the details about the vehicle, Safi stated that he went to Corum to buy it, saying, "I bought it from a garage that makes old model cars. I bought it for 485 thousand TL. When I bought the vehicle, they told me that all the bodywork, paint, and mechanical processes were done perfectly and that all the equipment was working."

"THE CAR ONLY RUNS"

Furkan Safi bought the vehicle and set off from Corum to return to Istanbul. However, it suddenly started to malfunction while he was driving. Safi expressed that the headlights went out when he passed over a small bump, saying, "The long lights weren't working anyway. It rained, and the car's wipers don't work. Almost none of the car's parts were working; it was just running."

HE SAID, "YOU DIDN'T BUY IT UNDER THREAT OF A WEAPON"

Stating that he wanted to return the vehicle after going back to Corum, Safi recounted the dialogue between him and the seller, saying, "He said, 'You're buying a 21-year-old car; these things are not very important. You will have to fix these yourself.' He absolutely did not take care of his property. He said, 'You didn't buy it under threat of a weapon; you bought this car willingly,' and actually, he hadn't done anything he claimed."

MILEAGE WAS 690 THOUSAND

Returning to Istanbul, Mr. Furkan became suspicious and went to an appraisal firm located in Güngören. He experienced the shock of his life at that moment. Because he had been defrauded. The vehicle had two changes, and its mileage was not as he was told. The appraisal firm that examined the vehicle stated, "When we checked, we found that there were changes in the vehicle's parts, changes in the bodywork, there was a problem with the vehicle's engine mechanics, they said it had 319 thousand km, but actually, it shows in miles, not kilometers. The vehicle's mileage is not 319 thousand; it shows 690,688 km. There is almost a twofold discrepancy in mileage."
