Kenan Balcı, who has been fishing in Beylikdüzü for 50 years, made striking allegations about İBB President Ekrem İmamoğlu. Balcı claimed that during İmamoğlu's tenure as the Mayor of Beylikdüzü, he requested land from him, and when he refused, he was subjected to pressure and threats. He stated that his property was seized under the guise of expropriation and mentioned that he has taken the matter to court.
Kenan Balcı, who has been fishing in Beylikdüzü, Istanbul for about 50 years and is the founder of the Turkey Marine Life Museum, made serious allegations about Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, who is currently detained in Silivri. Balcı stated that İmamoğlu requested land from him during his tenure as the Mayor of Beylikdüzü, and he faced pressure and obstacles because he rejected these requests.
"KENAN BRO, YOU WILL GIVE ME 2000 METERS OF LAND"
Kenan Balcı expressed that three months after İmamoğlu became mayor in Beylikdüzü, he heard him say, "Kenan bro, you will give me 2000 meters of land." Balcı said, "I thought he was joking, I laughed it off. Time passed, and he repeated it again. He said, 'You will support me.' I replied, 'I can't give you even 1 meter, let alone 2000 meters.' In the end, they invited me to the municipality's auxiliary service building with his assistant Mehmet Murat Çalık, and I told them there that I wouldn't give it."
"THEY TOOK OVER MY LAND UNDER THE NAME OF EXPROPRIATION"
Balcı continued by stating that he was threatened for rejecting this offer from İmamoğlu, saying, "Kenan bro, you will suffer a lot, you won't have the right to live, I won't give zoning to your lands, I will obstruct fish sales." They took over my land under the name of expropriation. I took these matters to court. He has long reach, uses a tool, and threatens where he cannot reach," he said.
