The Ministry of Trade continues its inspections on products that threaten human health. With the latest announcement, a ban and recall decision has been made for a cleaning product. Following the inspections, it was determined that a drain opener product under the Metan brand is unhealthy and unsafe for use.

ANOTHER PRODUCT ADDED TO THE BLACKLIST
In the latest statement made by the Ministry, it was reported that a new product posing a health risk has been added to the updated list published in the Unsafe Product Information System.

As a result of the examinations, it was determined that a drain cleaner product branded Metan poses a risk to human health. Following the determination that the product is unsafe, necessary administrative actions have been initiated to protect consumers.
PRODUCT BANNED, RECALL FROM THE MARKET
In this context, it was announced that the sale of the aforementioned drain cleaner product has been banned, and the products available in the market will be recalled. It was emphasized that the decision was enacted to protect consumer health.
