The Fenerbahçe Club responded to the allegations circulating on social media regarding the jersey presented to Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç. The club stated that the jersey is a standard commemorative jersey that was signed collectively in the past and firmly rejected any association with judicial processes.
OFFICIAL STATEMENT: IT IS A STANDARD COMMEMORATIVE JERSEY
In a statement made by the yellow and navy blue club, it was said, "Due to the disinformation and untrue claims circulating on some social media platforms, it has become necessary to inform the public correctly.
The jersey presented to our esteemed Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç during the visit to the Ministry of Justice was presented on behalf of our club by our President Sadettin Saran. The mentioned jersey was signed collectively by the players in our team in the past and is a standard commemorative jersey used during official visits. The existence of an ongoing judicial process regarding one of our players whose signature is on the jersey cannot be associated with the content of the visit or the addressed authority. Comments in this direction are far from legal reality and are misleading to the public. Our club respects the rule of law, the independence of judicial processes, and the presumption of innocence under all circumstances. It is unacceptable for the state authorities visited to be targeted by associating our club or our club president with ongoing judicial processes."
