After 19 days of being missing in the Bağlar district of Diyarbakır, the lifeless body of 8-year-old Narin Güran was found in a sack in the riverbed. The suspects in the investigation regarding her murder appeared before the judge for the first time. After the individual testimonies of the suspects were taken, the court moved on to the witnesses. NARIN'S FATHER'S RESPONSE TO "SALIM GÜRAN": MY FAMILY DOES NOT DO THATOne of them was father Arif Güran. Arif Güran gave confusing answers to questions about the number one suspect in the murder, Narin's uncle Salim Güran. Salim Güran's lawyer asked Arif Güran, "Have you ever had a fight with Salim? Our balconies face each other; sometimes he comes over for tea, sometimes I go over. If Salim had any ill intentions towards me today, I would say so, he is right in front of me." Arif Güran responded to the question, "So, is there any reason for Salim to kill your daughter?" with the words, "My family does not do that." "I HAVE NO DOUBT ABOUT MY WIFE"Arif Güran stated that he had no suspicion regarding his wife, Yüksel Güran, in the murder. When asked, "Did you suspect your wife?" Arif Güran replied: "No. I married my wife out of love. My mother did not want her because she was short, I apologize. If my wife were to do something, her voice would tremble. No one is superior to my daughter, but I know my wife's voice. I have no doubts about her."
