A woman in the Çankaya district filed a complaint, claiming that a delivery courier tried to enter her home. After footage from security cameras was shared on social media, the courier was taken into custody. In his initial statement, the courier claimed that he thought the customer, who received the order and went inside, would close the door without paying, which is why he entered the house.
In the Çankaya district of Ankara, a woman named M.Ç. (27) filed a complaint against a courier who attempted to enter her home while delivering an order, alleging harassment. The courier, E.C.K. (22), was taken into custody after moments of him entering the house were captured by security cameras.
The incident occurred around 2:00 AM yesterday. The woman, M.Ç., ordered food from a restaurant to her home on Necatibey Street, where she lives alone. After receiving the order from the courier at the door, M.Ç. went inside to get her credit card. At that moment, the courier E.K. entered the house through the open door with his shoes on and checked the surroundings. Realizing the situation, M.Ç. closed the door with her hand and pushed the courier outside. After the woman made the payment, the courier left the house. The courier's act of entering the house behind the woman and checking inside was captured by security cameras. The footage was also shared on social media.
FILED A COMPLAINT
At that moment, M.Ç. filed a complaint against the courier for harassment, along with her boyfriend Y.G. The courier E.C.K. was taken into custody by the police. M.Ç. identified the courier at the police station. In his first statement, E.C.K. denied the allegations. He claimed that he thought the customer who received the order would close the door without paying, that they had experienced such incidents frequently, and that he entered the house without any bad intentions.

Y.G. stated, "The courier first says he doesn't have change for cash and asks for a card. After I give the card, he says the POS device is off. Meanwhile, when my girlfriend goes to get the card, he enters and watches her from behind. After watching, my girlfriend closes the door. He holds the door with his foot. After holding it with his foot, he tries to open the door again. Then he looks around again. I also checked the camera recordings. After looking at the camera recordings, we saw what happened and filed a complaint. When my girlfriend realized the situation, she screamed. He got scared and ran away. We gave our statements, and we are pressing charges," he said.
