In a cafe in the Karapınar district of Konya, Bahri Cingöz (21), who was seriously injured by gunfire during a fight between rival groups, died in the hospital. In connection with the incident, a father and his two sons were arrested.

THE FIGHT AT THE CAFÉ CONTINUED OUTSIDE

The incident occurred on January 19, at midnight, at a café on Konya Street. A dispute broke out between Fahrettin Karaca (21), who was sitting in the café, and his brother Kazım Karaca, and their rival Mevlüt Z. (24), who came to the venue. As the argument escalated into a fight, Fahrettin Karaca informed his father Seyhat Karaca (47). Seyhat Karaca, who came to the café, took his sons outside. However, the parties continued to fight there as well. During this time, Fahrettin Karaca fired randomly with a gun. One of the bullets from the gun grazed the forehead of a customer in the café, Sinan Gümüşsoy, and hit Bahri Cingöz in the head. Two people collapsed to the ground in a pool of blood. The injured were taken to Karapınar State Hospital by ambulances dispatched to the scene upon notification. One of the injured, Gümüşsoy, was discharged after treatment. Cingöz, who was in critical condition, was transferred to Meram Medical Faculty in Konya.

SUSPECTS ARRESTED

Cingöz, who was treated in the intensive care unit of the hospital, died despite all the doctors' interventions. Meanwhile, Seyhat Karaca and his sons Fahrettin Karaca and Kazım Karaca, who were taken into custody after the incident, were referred to the courthouse after their procedures at the police station. The father and his two sons, who appeared before the judge, were arrested.
