A 353-kilogram, 2 meter 50 centimeters long tuna caught off the coast of Akçakoca district in Düzce was put up for sale at a fishmonger in Samsun. A day earlier, a tuna weighing 346 kilograms and measuring 2 meters 40 centimeters had also been caught in the same area.

THEY CAUGHT A GIANT TUNA TWO DAYS IN A ROW
Fishermen who went fishing off the coast of Akçakoca in Düzce caught a massive tuna on the night of December 31. The fish caught in the net was brought onto the boat with difficulty by a team of 12 people. The tuna, weighing 353 kilograms and measuring 2 meters and 50 centimeters, was brought to Samsun for sale. The fish was unloaded onto the fish stall in Atakum using a forklift.
Another tuna weighing 346 kilograms and measuring 2 meters and 40 centimeters had also been caught in the same area on December 30.
"WE UNLOADED IT WITH A FORKLIFT"
Fisherman Emin Kaan Tunçer said, "Our fish, which was pulled onto the boat with difficulty by 12 people in the open waters of the Black Sea, attracts a lot of attention from people. Children passing by think it's a model. They are taking photos and videos. People say they have never seen such a big fish before. We will offer our fish at 400 TL per kilogram," he said.
Stating that the fish was caught on December 31, Tunçer said, "Since our fish is heavy, we unloaded it with a forklift last night. Since we couldn't move the fish, the cutting process will also take place here," he added.
