At the Beşiktaş Advisory Board Meeting, a decision to expel two individuals was made following a fight between former President Hasan Arat and Advisory Board Chairman Tevfik Yamantürk.
Former Beşiktaş president Hasan Arat made statements during the club's 1st ordinary general assembly meeting in 2025, where a fight broke out. Following the events between former president Hasan Arat and the Assembly Chairman Tevfik Yamantürk, the meeting was held.
DECISION OF EXPULSION WAS MADE
After the fight, Arat and Yamantürk were referred to the Beşiktaş Disciplinary Board. Today, a decision was made by the Disciplinary Board regarding two individuals. An expulsion decision was made by a majority vote concerning Hasan Arat and Assembly Chairman Tevfik Yamantürk.
It was learned that if the decision is communicated to the board of directors and approved by the management, a vote for expulsion will be held at the Administrative and Financial General Assembly in October.
WHAT HAPPENED?
During the Disciplinary Board Meeting held on April 12, former Beşiktaş president Hasan Arat had a discussion with Assembly Chairman Tevfik Yamantürk while making a speech, and the meeting was adjourned after physical interventions.
“I DO NOT EXPECT TO BE EXPELLED” HE SAID
Tevfik Yamantürk, who was given an expulsion decision, stated after the fight, "I do not expect to be expelled. I have not done anything to be expelled. There are 6 months left until my term ends. I will not run for office. I am in my position until September 15. I will never resign. I have not done anything that would require resignation. If I have to resign for protecting Beşiktaş's rights, then there will be no one left to defend Beşiktaş's rights. I am questioning the 100 million Euros. Hasan Arat should account for this and should be expelled from the club."
