DRIFTING AND SHARING ON SOCIAL MEDIA

Officials from the Istanbul Police Department's Traffic Inspection Branch initiated an investigation on November 18 against the driver who endangered traffic by drifting on Atatürk Boulevard in Bahçeşehir, Başakşehir, and shared those moments on social media.

TAKEN INTO CUSTODY AND FINED

In the investigation, it was determined that the driver was an individual named I.A., and he was caught and taken into custody at his address. Police teams imposed a total fine of 62,340 TL on the driver for driving without a license, drifting, having tinted windows, and using non-standard license plates.

After completing the procedures at the police station, legal action was taken against the driver I.A. for the crime of 'operating vehicles on highways in a manner that may endanger the life, health, and property of individuals,' with a request for a prison sentence of 3 months to 2 years.
