In the Etimesgut district of Ankara, a driver without a license did not comply with a stop signal and, while fleeing, caused an injury to a traffic police officer by hitting him. The driver, H.Ö., was apprehended and arrested after a chase.

The teams of the Ankara Police Department, conducting a traffic operation in the Etimesgut district of Ankara, attempted to stop a suspicious vehicle. The driver, who tried to escape by not complying with the stop warning, hit a police officer on duty with his vehicle.

HE WAS ARRESTED

During the collision, the on-duty personnel was dragged for about 250-300 meters while holding onto the hood of the vehicle. After the vehicle stopped, the fleeing driver was caught and arrested as a result of the chase.

Checks revealed that the driver, H.Ö., did not have a driver's license. H.Ö., who was in custody, was arrested by the court after the necessary legal procedures were completed and sent to prison. It was learned that the injured police officer is still receiving treatment in the hospital.
