A traffic dispute involving an instructor working at a driving school in the Etimesgut district of Ankara turned into an unbelievable act of violence. The instructor, who assaulted the driver he was arguing with, then dragged the victim for kilometers while he was hanging on the hood of his car.
NEARBY CITIZENS INTERVENED
The incident occurred around 3:30 PM in the Bağlıca area. According to reports, a dispute arose between the instructor using the driving school vehicle and another driver over a right-of-way issue. The enraged instructor got out of his vehicle and attacked the other driver with punches. Despite the cries of a woman in the vehicle saying, "He pulled a gun," the furious assailant was only reluctantly pulled away by nearby citizens.
KM-LONG JOURNEY ON THE HOOD
The victim driver, whose face was covered in blood, stepped in front of the vehicle, saying, "I will call the police, don't run!" in an attempt to prevent the assailant from escaping. However, the enraged instructor pressed the gas and hit the driver in front of the vehicle. As a result of the impact, the unfortunate man had to hold on to the hood and was quickly dragged towards Eryaman in that position.
POLICE BLOCKED THE ROAD, TERROR ENDED
The suspect, who continued to move forward with the person on the hood for about an hour despite other drivers honking to stop him, ignored the warnings. Upon receiving a tip-off, the security forces sprang into action and managed to stop the vehicle by blocking the road at the entrance to Eryaman.
HE WAS DETAINED
The driver dragged on the hood miraculously escaped without injury, while the assailant instructor was detained by the police.
A comprehensive investigation has been launched regarding the charges of "intentional injury" and "endangering traffic safety" related to the incident.
