As concerns grow over whether the U.S. will attack Iran, a statement has come from Oman, where the first round of negotiations took place. Oman's Foreign Minister Badr Al-Busaidi stated, "The negotiations between the U.S. and Iran will take place on Thursday, February 26, in Geneva, Switzerland."

USA AND IRAN TO MEET IN GENEVA

The world has focused on the tension between the USA and Iran. While both countries threaten each other with war, the date for new negotiations has also been announced. Oman's Foreign Minister Badr Al-Busaidi stated, "The negotiations between the USA and Iran will be held on Thursday, February 26, in Geneva, Switzerland."

Al-Busaidi expressed his satisfaction on social media, saying, "I am pleased to confirm that the USA-Iran negotiations will take place this Thursday in Geneva and that a positive momentum will be achieved for finalizing the agreement."

USA'S MILITARY DEPLOYMENT CONTINUES

On the other hand, according to information from some social media accounts that track and analyze open-source intelligence data, the USA's military deployments to Iran are ongoing.

Twelve F-22 fighter jets, which took off from Joint Base Langley-Eustis in Virginia, crossed the Atlantic in groups of six and reached RAF Lakenheath Base in the UK. Due to a technical malfunction in a refueling tanker, the fighter jets experienced a brief delay, and they are expected to continue their journey towards the Middle East tomorrow.

The USA has also sent six E-3 Sentry AWACS airborne command and control aircraft to the Middle East.

Additionally, it was observed that tanker aircraft belonging to the USAF were refueling reconnaissance planes over the Eastern Mediterranean. These activities were interpreted as indicating that first-class equipment is operating to monitor some hot spots in Iran on the ground.

The military activity in the region has also reflected on civil flight tracking platforms. According to data from flight tracking company Flightradar24, nearly all of the most tracked flights worldwide in the past week were operated by the USAF.

NEGOTIATIONS BETWEEN IRAN AND THE USA

The nuclear talks between Iran and the USA, which were interrupted after the attacks by Israel and the USA on Iran in June 2025, were resumed in Oman on February 6.

The second round of negotiations was held on February 18 in Geneva, Switzerland.
