THE ARGUMENT ENDED IN BLOOD

The incident occurred yesterday evening in the rural Alicli neighborhood of the Omerli district. An argument that started between two relative families for an undetermined reason quickly escalated into a fight involving handguns. Ibrahim Kortak and his brother M.K., who were hit by bullets, collapsed to the ground covered in blood.

ONE DEAD, THE OTHER SERIOUSLY INJURED

Health and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the address upon the report. It was determined during the health teams' examination that Ibrahim Kortak had died at the scene. His seriously injured brother M.K. was taken to Mardin Training and Research Hospital by ambulance after initial intervention. It was reported that M.K., whose treatment is ongoing, remains in critical condition.

SUSPECT COUSIN IN CUSTODY

While gendarmerie teams took extensive security measures after the incident, V.K., who was learned to be the cousin of the brothers, was taken into custody within the scope of the investigation. The suspect's interrogation at the station continues. It was learned that the body of the deceased Ibrahim Kortak will be buried in the Alicli Neighborhood Cemetery in the afternoon.
