The French dairy company Lactalis has decided to recall 'Picot' branded products in Chile, China, France, and many other countries after the detection of dangerous toxins in baby food. It was stated that the bacterial-origin toxin found in the baby food could lead to diarrhea and vomiting in children.

The French multinational dairy company Lactalis has recalled baby formulas sold in many countries due to concerns that they may contain toxins.

According to a report by France 24 based on a statement from the Lactalis group, the company has decided to recall baby formulas in Chile, China, Colombia, Congo, Czech Republic, Ecuador, France, Georgia, Greece, Kuwait, Madagascar, Mexico, Monaco, Spain, Peru, Australia, Uzbekistan, and Taiwan.

BACTERIAL ORIGIN TOXIN DETECTED

The statement requested the withdrawal of six batches of the "Picot" brand baby formula after dangerous toxins were detected in components sourced from a supplier. The statement noted that the bacterial-origin toxin found in the baby formula could lead to diarrhea and vomiting in children, and assured that other products outside the six groups with the specified batch numbers are safe.
