In line with the proposal prepared by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) commissions, a 20% increase in public transportation and commercial transportation fares has been requested in the city. The proposal has been brought to the agenda of the IMM Assembly. If the increase is approved by the assembly, the full ticket will rise from 35 lira to 42 lira, and the monthly subscription will increase from 2,748 TL to 3,298 TL.
According to the proposal prepared by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) commissions, a 20% increase in public transportation and commercial transportation fees in the city has been requested. The proposal has been brought to the agenda of the IMM Assembly.
The Tariff Commission and the Transportation and Traffic Commission have completed their work on the proposals regarding the public transportation vehicles in the city, as well as taxis and school shuttles, which were referred to the commissions during the IMM Assembly meeting. In the proposal prepared by the commissions and included in today's IMM Assembly agenda, a 20% increase in public transportation vehicles such as buses, metros, metrobuses, minibuses, and ferries, as well as taxis and school shuttles, has been requested.
MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION WILL RISE TO 3,298 LIRA
In this context, it has been requested that the electronic full ticket price be increased from 35 lira to 42 lira with a 20% increase, and the "Blue Card" monthly subscription fee be raised from 2,748 lira to 3,298 lira.
SHORT DISTANCE IN TAXIS WILL RISE TO 210 LIRA
It has been requested that the taxi meter opening fee be increased from 54.50 lira to 65.40 lira, the distance fee from 36.30 lira per kilometer to 43.56 lira, the time tariff fee from 453.71 lira per hour to 544.45 lira, and the short distance fee from 175 lira to 210 lira.
INDI-BINDI WILL RISE TO 39 LIRA
In minibuses, the short distance fee defined as "indi-bindi" for distances up to 4 kilometers is requested to be increased from 32.50 lira to 39 lira, from 4 to 7 kilometers from 34 lira to 41 lira, from 7 to 11 kilometers from 35 lira to 42 lira, from 11 to 15 kilometers from 36 lira to 43 lira, from 15 to 20 kilometers from 39 lira to 47 lira, and the student fee is requested to be increased from 21 lira to 25 lira.
NEW TARIFF WILL BE VALID FROM FEBRUARY 16
While the request to increase the school shuttle fee for distances between 0 to 1 kilometer from 3,376 lira to 4,051 lira is included in the agenda item, it has been stated that the new tariff will be valid from February 16.
On the other hand, it has been requested that the iftar menu price in the wedding and event halls of IMM be increased from 550 lira to 700 lira with a 27.27% increase.
