Iran announced that it has shot down a U.S. F-15 fighter jet. Thus, the F-15 fighter jet, known as "Invincible," has been shot down by enemy fire for the first time in military history. No statement has been made by the U.S. regarding the matter.

The war that started between the US-Israel and Iran is intensifying on its fifth day, with mutual attacks bringing the tension in the Middle East to a critical point. While the US and Israel continue their extensive operations against military targets in Iran, Tehran has also increased its retaliations with ballistic missiles and drones. The US announced that it has struck 2,000 Iranian targets, while Tehran retaliated with 500 missiles.

According to the semi-official news agency Tasnim News Agency, close to the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, Iran announced that an F-15 fighter jet belonging to the US has been shot down. A source familiar with the matter stated that the US F-15 was hit by the Iranian Army Air Defense Unit.

"WE TARGETED 3 AMERICAN AIRCRAFT"

According to Tasnim News Agency, Iran's Khatam Al Anbiya Central Headquarters announced that three US fighter jets were shot down by Iran's domestically produced air defense systems. Iranian officials, who previously claimed responsibility for the downing of 2 US aircraft in Kuwait, stated that one more aircraft had been shot down.

US SAID IT WAS FRIENDLY FIRE

Three F-15 fighter jets belonging to the US Air Force were shot down in the airspace of Kuwait, one of the Gulf countries targeted by Iran, on the grounds that it housed a US base. While Iran announced that it had shot down the jets, the US claimed that all three jets had fallen as a result of "friendly fire."

FOOTAGE OF THE DOWNED AIRCRAFT BECAME A TOPIC

In the incident that occurred on Monday morning, the Iranian armed forces announced that they had shot down an American F-15 fighter jet over the Iran-Kuwait border region. The downing of the aircraft was also confirmed by the Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense.

Photos and footage showing the aircraft's descent and its fall onto Kuwaiti territory were published on both social media and many media websites.
