In the Nesine 3rd League, Group 4, Denizlispor faced a situation where no candidates emerged during the extraordinary congress, which was postponed twice. As the board of directors resigned, the keys to the club were handed over to the municipality.
One of the rooted clubs of Turkish football, Denizlispor, which has been competing in the Süper Lig for many years, is going through tough times. Once representing our country in Europe, the Aegean team is currently fighting in the Nesine 3rd League Group 4. In the green-black club, no candidates emerged in the extraordinary congress that was postponed twice, and after the resignation of the board of directors, the club was left without an owner.
ONE OF THE KEYS WAS HANDED OVER TO THE MUNICIPALITY
Özcan Sarı, the former vice president from the resigned management, and lawyer İsmail Berkay Gökce held a meeting today with Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Mayor Ali Marım. After the meeting, Sarı handed over the club's key to Marım. Özcan Sarı stated in his remarks that they did everything they could for Denizlispor.
THE OTHER KEY WILL BE HANDED OVER TO THE GOVERNOR
Sarı stated that they handed over one of the club's keys to Mr. Marım with a report, saying, "We came to the governor's office, but since our governor was not available, we made an appointment with him for Monday. We will hand over the second key of our club to the Denizli Governor's Office. From now on, the process will be in their hands. They will do everything they can to save Denizlispor," he said.
NO CANDIDATES EMERGED, MANAGEMENT RESIGNED
The extraordinary general assembly of Denizlispor, held on December 4, was postponed due to insufficient majority, and in the election congress held yesterday, the current president Ahmet Yalın Yıldırım and board members resigned from their positions as no presidential candidates emerged.
