The discussion that started over Melek Mosso's concert outfit in Kastamonu has made its way to the political agenda. In response to the harsh statements from AK Party member Ahmet Namlı, Mosso replied on social media, "Call me again, I will come again, and I will wear whatever I want."

The Deputy Group Chairman of the Kastamonu Municipal Council from the AK Party, Ahmet Namlı, drew attention with his harsh criticisms regarding the outfit of famous singer Melek Mosso.

Kastamonu Municipality organized an event on August 24 to commemorate the anniversary of Atatürk's arrival in Kastamonu. During the event, Melek Mosso faced severe criticisms from AK Party Group Deputy Chairman Ahmet Namlı. Mosso responded to the criticisms directed at her via social media.

The AK Party Group Deputy Chairman of the Kastamonu Municipal Council, Ahmet Namlı, targeted singer Mosso. Namlı stated, "If you do not confront the immoral ones, they will try to give you a lesson in morality. The situation we find ourselves in is the same. You are trying to give us a lesson in morality. Gentlemen, this is not that simple. Now you say we cannot find Şerife Bacı. Of course, you cannot find her. Am I the one who planted the pine tree behind a monument that has nothing to do with our culture in front of Şerife Bacı? And not a single person in Kastamonu spoke up, well done to this Kastamonu. They say to our girls and young people, 'open up, stop for freedom.' I don't know, that lady must have come down from the president's office without dressing. I didn't look, but I checked on YouTube. Am I the one who brought a lady here? You are trying to give us a lesson in morality.

"DOES IT SUIT KASTAMONU?"

Gentlemen, this is so shameful. They are trying to bestow girls to their families in the name of freedom. Who is that lady? Does she suit Kastamonu? Of course, you cannot find Şerife Bacı. And then how do you attribute this to Kastamonu? Can such a thing happen? That evening there was such a crowd. And most of them were our girls wearing headscarves in the front. When I saw that that evening, my stomach churned, I said, 'What have we become?' I said, 'Where have we come to?' But you cannot attribute this to the AK Party. There is no such world."

Singer Melek Mosso reacted by responding to the criticisms regarding her attire from the AK Party Group Deputy Chairman of the Kastamonu Municipal Council, Ahmet Namlı.

"I LISTENED TO THE WORDS THAT CAME OUT OF YOUR MOUTH WITH ASTONISHMENT"

Mosso responded to Namlı on her social media account, saying, "I listened with astonishment to the words that came out of the mouth of a representative of the nation, regardless of which party they belong to, in a reckless manner and in a divisive tone. There were two truths in what he said, for which I thank him. The first is that Kastamonu has not been able to have fun with such a crowd in a secular, democratic way for many years. The second is that the front of our stage was filled with the magnificent people of Kastamonu, young and old, with their heads covered and uncovered, singing my songs in unison. I thank everyone who was there very much. I believe the gentleman's blunder is to say this at a celebration where we commemorate the 100th anniversary of Atatürk's arrival in Kastamonu and the hat and clothing revolution. I enjoyed the concert very much, and I am sure the people of Kastamonu had a great time too. Invite me again, I will come again. And as a modern Turkish woman, I will wear what I want again. Much love."
