Eda Erdem, expressing that she feels a great pride, said, "I came not just to sign, but to sign with great pride. I remember entering the gates of this club in 2008 as if it were yesterday. It was not just a transfer; it was the realization of a dream for me. The jersey I put on that day has become my family over time. I could never have imagined that we would build such a strong bond throughout my career. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to carry this jersey into my 20th year. I promise to fight with the same faith and responsibility until the last moment. 20 years on my back, a lifetime with Fenerbahçe. I am so glad to be a Fenerbahçe fan."
'BEING A ROLE MODEL FOR GIRL CHILDREN IS INVALUABLE'
Eda Erdem, who stated that she has many moments she is proud of in her career, expressed that the moment she is most proud of is when her statue was erected. Eda, who aims to complete her career by serving her team in the best way, noted:
"An Olympic medal is a dream for every athlete, but I am now making short-term plans. My current goal is to finish by winning all the trophies left in my club. We will see what comes next. As Turkey, we are a competitive team. Whether I am here or not, I sincerely say that this team will be on the podium. Being a beautiful role model for girl children is invaluable for me. I want to tell those who start sports to enjoy the moment and the game you play. Set goals, believe in yourself, and trust your inner voice without listening to any other voices. They may try a few times, but I believe they will reach that goal in the end. Fenerbahçe is my family. It will always be in my life. Whenever my club says, 'Eda, we need you in this regard,' I am always ready. In the first year I came, I experienced championship at Fenerbahçe. A Champions League championship would suit us very well, and we are moving forward with confident steps for that."
