The severe tornado that struck Kahramanmaraş caused significant material damage, especially to citizens who rely on livestock for their livelihood. TORNADO CAUSED MATERIAL DAMAGE TO LIVESTOCK FARMERS
The tornado, which suddenly struck during the noon hours, caused moments of fear in the Hacıeseler Obası of Darıovası Mahallesi.
With the impact of the strong wind, the roofs of some barns and agricultural structures were torn off and thrown meters away. As metal and wooden pieces scattered around, dangerous moments were experienced in the region, especially causing serious damage to the barns of citizens who earn their livelihood through livestock farming.
TREES WERE UPROOTED
Centuries-old trees in the area were uprooted and toppled. As the trees fell, the ground was lifted, revealing large rock fragments. The scene that emerged showcased the intensity of the tornado.
TORNADO ALSO STRUCK AGRICULTURAL LANDS
Due to the strong wind and accompanying rainfall, some agricultural lands were also damaged. Agricultural materials and equipment that were laid out were scattered around, causing producers to experience financial losses. According to initial assessments, there were no casualties or injuries in the incident.

Villagers who experienced great panic during the incident expressed that the tornado was effective in a very short time and that they were astonished by what had happened. Some citizens stated that they had never encountered such a severe tornado before.
Following the disaster, damage assessment work is expected to begin in the region.
