In a statement, the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Uraloğlu, spoke about the increase in bridge and highway fees for the new year. Uraloğlu stated, "In the new year, bridge and highway fees will increase by 25.49%." Thus, the one-way tolls for cars on the 15 July Martyrs Bridge and the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge will rise from 47 TL to 59 TL.

Uraloğlu stated in an interview with NTV, "In the new year, bridge and highway fees will increase by 25.49%."

Minister Uraloğlu continued his remarks by saying, "The General Directorate of Highways operates about half of the highways itself. The revaluation rate has been published. So we think it could be at that rate. What is our situation in the contracts for the highways built under the build-operate-transfer model? We will look into that; sometimes we might make an adjustment of maybe 10%. The revaluation rate is still in our hands. Also, what has happened to inflation? We need to consider how much the inflation that affects transportation is. We think we should make an adjustment by taking these into account."
THE REVALUATION RATE WAS CLARIFIED LAST MONTH
The General Communiqué of the Tax Procedure Law prepared by the Revenue Administration of the Ministry of Treasury and Finance was published in the Official Gazette last month.
The communiqué stated that according to the Tax Procedure Law, the revaluation rate is the average price increase rate that occurs in the domestic producer price index of the Turkish Statistical Institute for the same period of the previous year in October (including October) of the year in which the revaluation will be made, and that this rate must be announced by the Ministry in the Official Gazette. In this context, it was noted that the revaluation rate was determined as 25.49% for the year 2025.
