Kerem Demirbay, wearing the Kasımpaşa jersey, apologized to the yellow-red fans after the Galatasaray match. Speaking about being booed, Kerem said, "May they all be well. So they must be resentful."
In the 7th week of the Trendyol Super League, Kasımpaşa player Kerem Demirbay, whose team lost 3-1 away to Galatasaray, said that he had been misunderstood in an interview he gave earlier and therefore apologized to the yellow-and-red fans. Kerem Demirbay made statements to members of the press after the match at RAMS Park.
''IT IS NOT EASY TO PLAY HERE''
The 33-year-old player, noting that they had left behind a bad match for themselves, said, "Unfortunately, we lost the match. It did not go as the coach thought. The coach brought some players on later to give the team energy, but it did not turn out as he wanted. It is not easy to play here. Both my team and Galatasaray fought very well. I congratulate them; there is nothing else to say."
Referring to the reaction of Galatasaray fans towards him when he was substituted during the match because of an interview he had given earlier, Kerem used the following statements:

"First of all, people who know me know this. I do not disrespect anyone. Our fans whistled at me, but truly, I wish them all well. They must be upset with me. We may be in an emotional period. I apologize to all of them. I hope this resentment does not last long. I was misunderstood. Sometimes I think in German and try to say it in Turkish. Therefore, I can say something wrong. Sometimes they also twist the subject elsewhere. I played football here for two years. I mean, Yunus Akgün is also next to me now. We worked together for the championship. I would not show such disrespect to myself, my brothers, my coaches, or our fans. I was just misunderstood."
