Masked suspects who entered a house in Kadıköy, Istanbul, tied up the homeowner and the caretaker to carry out a major theft. Two masked suspects entered a house in Kadıköy, tied up the homeowner and the caregiver, and stole approximately 1 million lira worth of money and valuables. Following the incident, police teams took action and managed to capture one of the suspects during their operations, while the other suspect was detained at the airport while attempting to flee abroad.
THEY FORCED THEIR WAY THROUGH THE BALCONY DOOR
The incident occurred on March 5 at around 5:50 AM in the Dumlupınar neighborhood of Kadıköy. According to the information obtained, Neriman F.P. (68) was in the living room of her house with her caregiver M.K. when two unidentified male individuals forced their way through the balcony door around 4:30 AM.
THEY TIED UP THE HOMEOWNER AND THE CAREGIVER
The suspects, who asked whether there was a safe in the house, tied up the homeowner Neriman F.P. and the caregiver M.K. to incapacitate them. They then headed to the bedroom, took approximately 1 million TL worth of money and valuables from the safe in the room, and fled the scene.
THEY WERE CAPTURED IN AN OPERATION
Following the incident, police teams initiated efforts to capture the suspects. As part of the operations conducted on March 5 in Başakşehir, Bayrampaşa, and Gaziosmanpaşa, a suspect named T.A. (35) was captured and detained.
During searches conducted on the suspect and at his address, 46,900 TL in cash and two gold bracelets and a necklace were seized.
HE WAS DETAINED AT THE AIRPORT
The other suspect identified as F.A. (25), who was determined to be connected to the incident, was caught and detained by airport officials while attempting to leave the country through Sabiha Gökçen Airport on March 8.
After their procedures at the police station, the suspects were referred to judicial authorities by the Gasp Bureau teams.
