With the regulation published in the Official Gazette, it is now prohibited to charge service fees, table fees, and cover charges in restaurants.

The new regulation published by the Ministry of Trade in the Official Gazette has amended the sixth paragraph of Article 8 of the Price Tag Regulation.

With the new regulation, if any fee is charged under any name other than the prices shown in the tariff and price list, it has become mandatory to indicate this in the tariff and price list.

A NEW ERA BEGINS

Additionally, in establishments such as restaurants, cafes, and similar food and beverage service venues, no additional charges will be requested from consumers under any name, such as service charge, table charge, or cover charge.
