The Ministry of National Education is adding a new course called 'Target-Based Support Education' to the curriculum starting from the 2025-2026 academic year, aimed at increasing the academic success of 12th-grade students and supporting their university preparation processes. The content of the course will consist of various different areas, and students will not be graded at the end of this course; the goal will be to provide academic support entirely.
The Ministry of National Education is including a new course in the curriculum starting from the 2025-2026 academic year to increase the academic success of 12th-grade students and support their university preparation processes.
TO BE PLANNED BY SCHOOL ADMINISTRATIONS
This course, named "Target-Based Support Education," will be planned by school administrations according to students' preferences and can be selected for 3 to 6 hours per week. According to the news in the Türkiye newspaper, the course will include many subjects such as Turkish language and literature, physics, chemistry, biology, history, geography, philosophy, mathematics, sociology, psychology, logic, first foreign language, contemporary Turkish and world history, the history of the Republic of Turkey's revolutions and Atatürkism, religious culture and moral knowledge, and the history of Turkish culture and civilization.
NO GRADES WILL BE GIVEN
A minimum of 1 hour and a maximum of 3 hours per week can be allocated for each course. The contents will be prepared by subject teachers based on the relevant curricula. No grades will be given to students at the end of this course; the aim will be to provide academic support entirely.
