Three disabled siblings who tragically lost their lives in a house fire in Kahramanmaraş's Onikişubat district were bid farewell on their final journey with tears and prayers following a funeral prayer at Abdülhamid Han Mosque.

Kahramanmaraş bid farewell to the victims of the fire tragedy in the Boğaziçi neighborhood. A heart-wrenching funeral ceremony was held for the disabled siblings Mustafa Saltalı (46), Esra Saltalı (44), and Muhammed Ali Saltalı (31), who lost their lives in a fire that broke out on the first floor of a building and plunged the entire city into grief. It was learned that mother Hatice and her other son Abdulgani Saltalı survived the fire with injuries.

THEY WERE BIDDEN FAREWELL WITH PRAYERS

A funeral ceremony was held for the three siblings who perished in the tragedy at one of the city's largest mosques, Abdülhamid Han Mosque, following Friday prayers. At the ceremony, which saw intense participation from relatives and citizens, the siblings' bodies were laid to rest accompanied by prayers after the funeral prayer and the seeking of forgiveness.

"MY MOTHER LOST HER CHILDREN BEFORE HER EYES"

Mikail Saltalı, who struggled to stand at the funeral ceremony and suffered the deep pain of losing his siblings, stated in a statement to reporters that they could not overcome the shock of the incident. Expressing that they were a total of 8 siblings, Saltalı described the tragedy they experienced with these words:

"We are very sad due to the incident, this is God's will. My 3 disabled siblings passed away. I was in the Çağlayancerit neighborhood on the day of the incident. I saw the news on the apartment complex's message group and came immediately. When I arrived, my siblings had already passed away. My mother did her best to save them. My older brother was 46 years old, and my mother took care of him and the others like the apple of her eye for years. She was always by her children's side, but unfortunately, she lost them before her eyes. The house is currently unusable. Thankfully, our municipality is providing us with the necessary assistance."

PROTOCOL AND CITIZENS DID NOT LEAVE THE FAMILY ALONE

The grieving family was also not left alone on this difficult day by state officials and the local community. In addition to Kahramanmaraş Governor Mükerrem Ünlüer, Metropolitan Mayor Fırat Görgel, and Onikişubat Mayor Hanifi Toptaş, numerous bureaucrats and citizens attended the funeral ceremony and conveyed their condolences to the Saltalı family.
