A regulation regarding the opening and operating licenses for businesses has been amended. With the regulation published in the Official Gazette, businesses that do not address fire safety deficiencies and do not obtain a fire department report have been given a deadline until May 31, 2026. It has been reported that the licenses of businesses that do not submit a report after this date will be revoked and closed.
Changes have been made to the regulation regarding the opening and working permits of workplaces. With the publication of the "Regulation on the Amendment of the Regulation on the Opening and Working Permits of Workplaces" in the Official Gazette, a new arrangement has been introduced for workplaces that require a fire report within the scope of fire safety.
With the regulation, a temporary Article 9 has been added to the existing regulation. Accordingly, inspections will be conducted in workplaces that are subject to the provisions of the Regulation on the Protection of Buildings from Fire and require a fire report, in order to address deficiencies related to fire safety.
5 MONTHS GRANTED
Under the temporary article; a deadline until May 31, 2026, has been granted for the completion of manufacturing and renovations related to the supply of structures and materials, as well as for obtaining the fire report.
Workplaces that do not submit a fire report by the specified date will have their opening and working permits revoked. It has been reported that these workplaces will be closed.
ENTERED INTO FORCE
The regulation entered into force on the date of its publication; it was noted that its provisions would be executed by the President.
