THE CASE WAS FILED 2 YEARS AGON.K., a mother of one who works as a teacher in the city, married F.K., who had divorced once 16 years ago and continued his life with 2 children. However, after several years, some disagreements began to arise between the couple. During the course of these disagreements, N.K., who decided to divorce F.K. after he became unemployed, filed a lawsuit at the Family Court 2 years ago. BOTH PARTIES REQUESTED ALIMONYAccording to a report by Sabah, teacher N.K. claimed in her lawsuit that her husband, whom she alleged did not take their marriage seriously, also did not attend to the needs of the home and the children. N.K. also requested participation alimony, poverty alimony, and material and moral compensation in her petition. F.K., who argued that he fulfilled all the responsibilities imposed on him by the marriage, claimed in his petition that the events described were completely fabricated. MONTHLY 3,000 TL POVERTY ALIMONY IN FAVOR OF THE MANThe extraordinary divorce case seen by the 1st Family Court of Diyarbakır was concluded after 2 years. The court ruled that both parties were equally at fault in the events leading to the divorce and granted the divorce. Noting that the unemployed man did not have a sufficient and regular income, the court decided to grant a monthly provisional poverty alimony of 3,000 TL in favor of the man, taking into account the economic and social conditions of the parties, the principle of equity, and the amount requested. GRANTED PERPETUAL ALIMONYSpeaking about the case, F.K.'s lawyer stated that his client was economically disadvantaged during the divorce proceedings, noting that the court found the requests justified and granted the man perpetual alimony.
