US-ISRAELI ATTACKS ON IRAN
Israel and the US launched a military attack on Iran on February 28 while negotiations were ongoing between the Tehran and Washington administrations. Iran responded with attacks on targets it identified in several regional countries, including Qatar, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Bahrain, where US bases are located, in addition to Israel.
In the US-Israeli attacks, Iranian leader Ali Khamenei, as well as many high-ranking officials, were killed. Iran's Permanent Representative to the United Nations (UN), Said Iravani, announced in a statement at the UN that at least 1,332 Iranian civilians have lost their lives since the start of the attacks, and thousands have been injured.
