The head coach of TFF 2. Lig team Adanaspor, Yüksel Yeşilova, protested against the situation the club is in. In his statement, Yeşilova said, "No one has stepped up to help, we are going into matches in tears."
Adanaspor's head coach Yüksel Yeşilova made important statements regarding the challenges faced by the club at a press conference held at the Turkish Sports Writers Association (TSYD) Adana Branch.
''WE ARE CRYING AS WE GO OUT TO THE MATCHES''
Expressing that Adanaspor is an important asset of Adana, Yeşilova stated, "There are issues that people need to be aware of; a significant club like Adanaspor is going through tough times. We are so sad that sometimes we go out to the matches crying from the bench. People may wonder why we are going out to the matches. The only purpose of going out to the matches is for the future of Adanaspor and to avoid falling into even tougher days. We have 2 alternatives. If we do not go out to the matches, it will be a 3-0 loss by default, but we will receive a -3 point penalty and a monetary fine. Additionally, we will start next year with -9 points, and our players will receive a 10-match suspension. Taking on such a responsibility feels heavy for me," he said.
''NOBODY HAS STEPPED UP''
Yüksel Yeşilova pointed out that they have not received the support they expected, saying, "I realized that I am alone. Except for 2-3 people, nobody has stepped up. It has been 3 months since I came. In the first 2 months, I covered all the expenses of the team. I will carry this team until the mid-season. However, since I have not received any support, after the next match, I will not be involved in any way with the bus, masseur, doctor, food, jersey, or equipment. I will only come to training. After that, I will go to my job," he stated.
