A notable development has occurred in the investigation regarding the "embezzlement" allegations against the Örnekköy Housing Cooperative in İzmir. Seven suspects, including former İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Tunç Soyer, former General Manager of İZBETON AŞ Heval Savaş Kaya, and former CHP İzmir Provincial Chairman Şenol Aslanoğlu, have been referred to the peace criminal court with a request for arrest.

COOPERATIVE'S FINANCIAL TRANSACTIONS UNDER SCRUTINY
Within the scope of the investigation conducted by the İzmir Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, allegations regarding the financial transactions of the cooperative have been scrutinized. Arrest warrants were issued for the suspects identified as responsible based on expert reports.
The suspects who were detained were referred to the courthouse after completing their procedures at the Financial Crimes Unit of the Provincial Police Department. A total of 9 people, including former CHP İzmir Provincial Chairman Şenol Aslanoğlu, provided statements to the prosecutor's office.
SOYER AND KAYA GAVE STATEMENTS VIA SEGBIS
In the corruption investigation against the İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, the statements of former İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Tunç Soyer, who is detained in the "cooperative" case, and former IZBETON AŞ General Manager Heval Savaş Kaya were taken via the Audio and Video Information System (SEGBIS) from prison.
REQUEST FOR ARREST OF 7 SUSPECTS
After the procedures at the prosecutor's office, Tunç Soyer, Şenol Aslanoğlu, Heval Savaş Kaya, and 4 members of the board of directors of the İzmir Business People Örnekköy Housing Cooperative were referred to the peace criminal court with a request for arrest. Judicial control was requested for the other 4 suspects.
DETENTION PROCESS CONTINUES
The Chief Public Prosecutor's Office reported that an arrest warrant had been issued for 11 suspects, and on December 27, 9 people, including Aslanoğlu and cooperative managers, were detained. It was learned that efforts to capture 2 fugitives are ongoing.
LAWSUIT PROCESS HAD STARTED EARLIER
It was noted that in the "cooperative" case within the scope of the corruption investigation against the İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, Tunç Soyer and Heval Savaş Kaya are being tried while detained, and Şenol Aslanoğlu was released on October 14.
