A shepherd in Van lost his life after being struck by falling rock fragments.

While grazing their animals in the rural area of Alacayar Neighborhood in Çatak district of Van, Davut and Yakup İnçamur were struck by falling rock fragments from the mountain. Davut İnçamur, a father of two children who was trapped under the rock fragments, lost his life at the scene.

Upon the notification of Yakup İnçamur, a father of five children who was injured, teams from AFAD, UMKE, 112 Emergency Health, fire department, and gendarmerie were dispatched to the scene.

TEAMS HAD DIFFICULTY REACHING THE SCENE

Due to the heavy rain and fog affecting the area, the teams had difficulty reaching the scene. After approximately 4 hours of work, the injured İnçamur, who was brought to the location of the vehicles, was taken to Çatak State Hospital by ambulance. The body of Davut İnçamur was also taken to the morgue.
