Kırıkkale Ballışeyh Mayor Hilmi Şen and his driver died in the hospital after being shot in an armed attack. It was learned that the person who carried out the attack on Şen was E.Ş., a relative of the mayor. The suspect, who was taken into custody, was brought to the police station by the police teams.

The incident occurred in the morning hours in the Balışeyh district. According to the information obtained, Mayor Hilmi Şen went to the TOKİ area with his official vehicle to inspect the ongoing works after leaving his office. At that moment, E.Ş., who is the son of Şen's uncle, arrived in a vehicle and opened fire on the official vehicle with a pistol. During the incident, Mayor Şen and his driver Mikayil Çelikkol (40), Ömer Şengül (42), and Koray Kaya (45) became the targets of the bullets.

MAYOR AND DRIVER DIED

The injured were transferred to the hospital after the first intervention by the medical teams that arrived at the scene. Mayor Şen and his driver Çelikkol, who were treated at the High Specialization Hospital, could not be saved despite all interventions. While the treatment of the other injured continued at the Medical Faculty Hospital, the suspect E.Ş. was caught and taken into custody by the police teams in front of the municipal building.

It was learned that E.Ş., the cousin of Mayor Hilmi Şen, had asked him to employ him in the municipality and carried out the attack after his request was not fulfilled.
