The interesting incident that took place in Esenyurt ended happily thanks to the careful and dedicated work of the municipal teams. The cleaning workers of Esenyurt Municipality returned the gold worth approximately 1.2 million TL that they found among the trash to its owner.

Faraj Mustafa, a Syrian national living in Esenyurt, realized that he accidentally threw away a package containing a large amount of gold. He immediately reported the situation to the Esenyurt Municipality and went to the municipality's waste collection facility with the municipal police teams to request assistance.

TEAMS MOBILIZED

Upon receiving the notification, the municipal teams quickly sprang into action, unloading the waste loaded onto a truck to be sent to Silivri from the garbage trucks and initiating a meticulous search operation. After the sorting process carried out with the help of excavators, the teams conducted a manual search together with the citizen. As a result of intense efforts, they reached the piece of cloth that the gold was wrapped in.

DELIVERED INTACT

Inside the package, 26 full gold coins and 2 half gold coins worth approximately 1 million 200 thousand TL were found. After the examination and identification work carried out by the police teams who arrived at the scene, the gold, which was documented, was delivered to its owner intact.

"GOD BLESS THEM ALL"

After experiencing great panic, Faraj Mustafa, who regained his gold, thanked the municipality and security teams, saying, “We came to the scene with the municipal police teams. The police were also very helpful. God bless them all.”
