The boat, which began taking on water at Aquarium Cove in the Cennet Island area, was evacuated through a massive rescue operation where every second counted. The boat completely sank in the incident that narrowly avoided disaster, while the rescue of all 110 passengers without a single scratch became a source of consolation.
LIFE-OR-DEATH MOMENTS ON THE BLUE CRUISE: CREW'S ATTENTION PREVENTED DISASTER
At around 15:45, great activity occurred at Aquarium Cove, one of Marmaris's most frequented spots. A malfunction of unknown cause occurred on the cruise boat while it was underway, and it began taking on water. The experienced boat crew, immediately noticing the situation, calmly diverted the course to a point close to land, preventing a potential disaster.

Other tour boats in the vicinity and another boat from the same company quickly rushed to the scene upon seeing the boat starting to sink. Coastal Guard teams were also dispatched to the area upon notification. In the life-or-death scene where time was of the essence, the 110 passengers on board were evacuated to safe boats with the support of nearby seafarers and teams. After the complete disembarkation of passengers, the out-of-control tour boat sank into the cool waters of Aquarium Cove within minutes.

Following the unfortunate accident, Marmaris District Governor Nurullah Kaya went to Aquarium Cove without delay to conduct inspections. Receiving information from officials and conveying get-well wishes to the rescued citizens, Governor Kaya stated that the greatest consolation was that there were no casualties or injuries in the incident. Coastal Guard teams took security measures around the sunken boat while launching a comprehensive investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident.
