"US President Donald Trump announced that he has moved to a meeting at the White House to make the final decision on negotiations with Iran. Trump demanded the immediate clearance of mines in the Strait of Hormuz, and stated that enriched uranium in underground facilities struck by B-2 aircraft 11 months ago will be extracted and destroyed by the US."
In the US-Iran negotiations, where global markets and diplomatic traffic are locked, a critical statement came from US President Donald Trump.
After his harsh statements outlining the terms of the agreement, Trump stated that he urgently moved to a "Situation Room" meeting at the White House to make the final decision, and issued a very severe declaration containing military, nuclear, and logistical demands towards the Tehran administration.
"MINES IN THE STRAIT OF HORMUZ MUST BE CLEARED IMMEDIATELY"
In his statement on social media, Trump emphasized that the Strait of Hormuz, which is of critical importance for Gulf and world trade, must be unconditionally opened to traffic, listing the following conditions regarding maritime security: "Iran must agree that it will never have a Nuclear Weapon or Bomb. The Strait of Hormuz must be opened immediately, allowing ship traffic in both directions without restrictions or fees. All naval mines, if any, will be neutralized. We have destroyed many mines by detonating them through our large underwater mine sweeping vessels. Iran will immediately complete the removal or destruction of the remaining mines. There are not many left anyway."
"THE NAVAL BLOCKADE IS LIFTING, SHIPS CAN RETURN HOME"
Highlighting the absolute dominance of the US Navy in the region, Trump signaled that the blockade would be loosened and addressed civilian sailors stranded in the strait: "Ships stranded in the Strait due to our magnificent and unprecedented Naval Blockade can now begin the process of returning home thanks to this blockade, which will be lifted! On my behalf, say hello to your wives, husbands, parents, and families; from your beloved President!"
"NUCLEAR DUST" IN THE DEPTHS WILL BE EXTRACTED BY THE US
One of the most striking parts of Trump's statement was regarding the Iranian nuclear facilities hit by the shocking B-2 stealth bomber attack 11 months ago. Trump claimed that the enriched uranium underground, which he described as "Nuclear Dust", would be evacuated by the US, using the following words about the nuclear dimension of the escalating crisis: "The enriched material, sometimes called 'Nuclear Dust,' buried deep underground as a result of our powerful B-2 bomber attack nearly collapsing the mountains 11 months ago, will be extracted by the United States. As agreed upon, the US is the only country with the mechanical capability to do this. China also has this capability. This process will be carried out in close coordination and cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), and the material in question will be destroyed."
"NO MONEY TRANSFER, I AM GOING TO THE SITUATION ROOM"
Despite the terms of the compromise on the table, Trump emphasized that economic sanctions against Tehran would not be eased immediately and that no green light was given for cash flow, concluding his statements with: "No money transfers will be made until a new statement. Agreement has also been reached on other minor matters. Now, I am going to a meeting in the Situation Room to make the final decision. Thank you for your interest in this matter."
