The accidents that continuously occur at the same intersection in Isparta have victimized Enes Çelik, who has a workplace nearby. In 2 years, 9 accidents have caused damage to his vehicles and a trash container. Enes Çelik stated, "When it happens multiple times, patience inevitably runs out. We are not watching for customers, but for cars. We are watching to see if there will be an accident, and God forbid, if they will hit each other. The situation has gotten a bit out of hand."

The accidents that occurred at the intersection of 1710 Street and Cumhuriyet Avenue in the Pirimehmet neighborhood have frustrated Enes Çelik, who has a business nearby. Çelik, who has been operating a PVC window shop at the corner of the intersection for about 2 years, stated that his business was damaged after the accidents. He explained that sometimes the vehicles colliding at the intersection and sometimes the containers hit by the vehicles have caused damage to his shop, and he reported that he has incurred approximately 450,000 lira in damages so far.
"IT HAPPENED ONCE, WE STARTED TO GET USED TO IT"
Çelik, stating that they have been providing service here for 2 years, said, "When we first opened, we thought the garbage container was blocking the front of the shop. We considered submitting a petition for its removal, but on the first night, an accident occurred. After that, we realized that it protected the shop to some extent. Then other accidents started happening. In all the accidents, we realized that the garbage container protected us from the complete destruction of our shop. The garbage container became the protector of our shop. In the first two, we said, 'It can happen, it's carelessness.' After that, it happened a total of 9 times, and we started to get used to it. We began to laugh it off and brush it aside. We can feel anxious when we hear a screeching brake or when a fast car passes by, thinking an accident might happen," he said.
"TRADESMEN HAVE GOTTEN USED TO IT TOO"
Çelik, stating that they cannot concentrate on work due to the accidents they have experienced, said, "Should I focus on this or look after the business? There are about 15 tradesmen here. Due to the carelessness of those coming from below, there is inevitably anxiety. When an accident occurs, our tradesmen run to see if there is something wrong. However, they have gotten used to it now and consider it normal. They think it's normal because the person coming from below does not pay attention to the 'No Entry' sign," he expressed.
"THE SITUATION HAS GOTTEN OUT OF HAND"
Enes Çelik explained that their shop has been damaged either by the vehicles that have been thrown around or by collisions with the container, and he continued:
"Since the measurements of our glass are standard, we directly call our glazier to handle it. Customers get anxious. There is nothing to fear because we have iron bars where the garbage container and the car enter. If those iron bars were not there, a bigger accident would occur. They now know us as 'the place where accidents happen constantly.' When we average it out, we have incurred about 50,000 lira in damages for each accident, totaling around 450,000 lira. We change it first. Afterwards, we file a complaint, and the insurance pays for it. It wears us out, but there is nothing we can do. We accepted it when it happened once or twice. When it happens multiple times, inevitably patience runs out. We are watching for cars, not customers. We are watching to see if there will be an accident, God forbid, will they hit each other," he said. "The situation has gotten out of hand."
