Trabzonspor Club President Ertuğrul Doğan responded to Fenerbahçe President Ali Koç's remarks about Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Metin Genç. Trabzonspor Club President Ertuğrul Doğan made a statement regarding Fenerbahçe President Ali Koç's remarks about Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Metin Genç.
"WE SIGN UNDER HIS WORDS"
Doğan criticized Ali Koç's statements, saying, "We followed the statement made by Fenerbahçe Sports Club President Ali Koç regarding our Mayor of Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality, Mr. Ahmet Metin Genç, after the match we played yesterday. We sign under what Mr. Ahmet Metin Genç has said. The issue they are making a 'victim narrative' about is not something you can cover up with tapes, phone conversations, 'gifted' cars, 'issued fatwas', and files at CAS. The Trabzonspor community has always been the cleanest, the whitest, and the clearest side in this matter," he said.
"TRABZONSPOR DID NOT ALIGN WITH FETÖ"
Doğan emphasized the club's stance, stating, "It did not play ball with FETÖ prosecutors. It did not make FETÖ members club members. It did not sponsor FETÖ organizations."

The president also referred to the 2010-2011 season, saying, "We leave the cheap politics you made about our 2010-2011 Championship, hiding behind July 3, to the public's judgment! The 2010-2011 Champion is Trabzonspor! The issue is closed for discussion from our perspective."
Ertuğrul Doğan concluded his statement by warning Ali Koç and his administration, saying, "We advise you to pay attention to your statements, the language you use, and the remarks of your executives."
WHAT HAPPENED?
After the Fenerbahçe-Trabzonspor match played yesterday in the Trendyol Super League, the president of the yellow-navy club, Ali Koç, released a statement. In a post made from Fenerbahçe's social media account, Ali Koç responded to the statements of Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Metin Genç.
Genç had stated in a post on his social media account, "Match-fixing is still ongoing. We do not even know how many people we are fighting against. 20 minutes of freezing cold goal disallowed and a red card. Shame on you and it's a disgrace. Always the biggest Trabzonspor."
WHAT DID ALİ KOÇ SAY?
In his statement, Ali Koç said, "During the Fenerbahçe-Trabzonspor match played today, the baseless and thoughtless statements made by the Mayor of Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality for the sake of cheap heroism have targeted the Fenerbahçe community and its supporters; by ignoring the honorable resistance displayed against the FETÖ conspiracy during the July 3 process, he has tried to divide society with hate speech.
Our club will take the necessary legal steps regarding these statements. However, we are not stopping there: We invite millions of Fenerbahçe supporters, who are the heirs of the resistance we showed on July 3, to file complaints against this individual with the relevant authorities. July 3 is our sweat. Targeting our community aligns with those who threaten the independence of the country. We defeated FETÖ on July 3. The crumbs are light for us. As long as the Fenerbahçe community is united, no one can make us kneel," he stated.
