A young woman who was raped in a deserted area in Ankara recounted the horror she experienced.

One person was arrested and one person was released under judicial control on the allegation that 24-year-old M.T. committed a sexual assault in an empty lot in the heart of the capital.

HE EXPERIENCED HORROR WHEN HE RETURNED TO SEE HIS FRIEND

The incident occurred the day before yesterday in the Demetevler neighborhood. M.T., who was arguing with his work colleague in the car, was allegedly forced out of the vehicle by unknown suspects named M.A. and H.G. who approached them. After the intervention of bystanders, the two individuals left the scene. After leaving the area by taxi, M.T. encountered M.A. and H.G. again when he returned to see his friend. The suspects sexually assaulted the woman they took to an empty lot by car. Following M.T.'s complaint, M.A. and H.G. were caught and taken into custody. The suspects claimed that they were with M.T. with her consent. While M.A. was arrested after being referred to the courthouse, H.G. was released under judicial control.

HE TOLD WHAT HE EXPERIENCED

M.T. stated that the incident occurred around 03:30 in the early morning of January 6, saying, "I met with my work colleague because I was having anxiety. After spending some time, we came to Demetevler. We started to argue about a topic inside the car. While we were arguing, two unknown foreign individuals approached us. Both of them tried to force me out of the car. My work colleague pushed them away. After he pushed them away, he made me get into a taxi to go home. Later, I felt regret and returned to apologize. I couldn't see my work colleague there. Those two individuals were there. The person driving the car grabbed my arm and said, 'Your work colleague is inside,' and forced me into the car," he said.

"HE TRIED TO KILL ME"

M.T. stated that while one of the suspects was driving the vehicle, the other was sexually assaulting him, saying, "He tried to kill me. He choked me. I kicked, I slapped, I tried to defend myself but I couldn't succeed. He tried to kill me in the field. He was choking me. At that moment, my friend video-called me, and in a panic, I answered the phone. When I opened the phone and saw him, he panicked and let me go. That’s how I escaped. I called the police," he said.

"I WANT BOTH OF THEM TO BE ARRESTED"

M.T. reacted to H.G.'s release under judicial control and demanded his arrest, saying, "I want them to receive their punishment as soon as possible. I want both of them to be arrested. They should be tried with the heaviest penalty. I want my state to help me. I seek refuge in our state," he expressed.
