The Advertising Board has decided to impose access restrictions on 10 high-followed social media accounts that were found to be advertising illegal betting and gambling, directing consumers to various illegal sites.
In a statement made by the Ministry of Trade, it was noted that the 361st meeting of the Advertising Board, which operates under the Ministry, held on September 11, again included illegal betting and gambling advertisements as one of the priority items on the agenda.

In the statement, it was reported that the Ministry will continue its efforts and inspections without interruption to protect consumers' rights, to combat illegal advertising activities effectively and decisively, and especially to keep young people away from such harmful effects. The following was recorded:
"As a result of the examinations and evaluations conducted by the Board, it has been decided to impose access restrictions on 10 social media accounts with a high number of followers that were found to be advertising illegal betting and gambling and directing consumers to various illegal sites. Additionally, necessary applications will be made to the relevant institutions to initiate judicial investigation processes regarding the mentioned social media accounts and the counterparts of illegal betting and gambling sites."
