In Gaziantep, the CHP Mayor of Şehitkamil, Umut Yılmaz, stated, "Until today, they have tried to pull us down by our ankles. This was done by those closest to us. I have learned how those who stood by us and appeared to be friends have stabbed us in the back."
Umut Yılmaz, the CHP Mayor of Şehitkamil district in Gaziantep, met with municipal staff. Before the meeting, Yılmaz held a meeting with department heads and made important statements during the gathering that took place at the municipal building.
"I HAVE NOT DISRESPECTED ANYONE" Yılmaz stated that he had a dream before embarking on this journey, saying, "I swore that no child in Şehitkamil would go to bed hungry, from the mountains to the countryside. I have not disrespected anyone. In this municipality, you are all my colleagues. I called my elders brother and sister, and I loved my younger ones. I have never been on the side of ego or arrogance." he said.
