Defendant Adnan Oktar and some defendants attended the hearing via Audio and Video Information System (SEGBIS). Two detained defendants and four released defendants were also present at the hearing. Adnan Oktar, who made a defense in the trial, said, "Since it is an empty case, I do not see any harm in responding. I do not understand, the officer next to me is watching me. We are being monitored with three different cameras, a separate expert is also watching and examining. Our conversations are being discussed in coffeehouses the next day. It is not possible for us to give secret information, it is heard instantly because of these practices. I cannot explain the secret defense evidence, and because I cannot explain it, I cannot make a defense. There have been endless restrictions for 6 years. For example, there are torn papers in my room, they immediately seize them to see if there is anything suspicious. They are looking for secret information on torn paper. It is shown as if there is a very suspicious and doubtful situation, but there is nothing like that. They should lift this unnecessary restriction, we cannot have a proper conversation with my lawyers." Adnan Oktar, who claims that there is no organization, said, "What is being done here is an action of the British deep state. When a defense lawyer said that he did not think it was a significant issue, the presiding judge said, "How can it not be? Adnan Oktar mentioned the British deep state here, how do we know that the observer did not pass this information to the Swedish deep state? You still say that nothing will happen, lawyer sir. In the indictment prepared by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, 20 people, including Adnan Oktar, were included as "suspects". The indictment stated that Adnan Oktar, who is the leader of the armed criminal organization, was accepted as the manager of the organization by court decisions and continued his organizational activities while in prison, especially through lawyers, trying to keep the organization alive, spreading his instructions outside the prison, and trying to create public opinion that the trial was a plot through other organization executives Meltem Daban and Ferhunde Eda Babuna. In this context, it was stated in the indictment that the suspect Oktar communicated with the organization members who wanted to be effective repentants, tried to prevent them, tried to maintain his influence on the organization members inside and outside, who were in prison, being processed or not, and gave instructions for them to stay together. In addition, it was stated in the prepared indictment that during the period when the suspect Oktar was in prison, he had meetings under the name of legal assistance with approximately 200 lawyers in a short period of about 15 days, which would not be in accordance with the normal course of events, and aimed to recruit members to the organization, and as a result of these meetings, the suspect's right to have lawyer visits was restricted. In the prepared indictment, it was requested that the suspects Adnan Oktar, Meltem Daban, and Ferhunde Eda Babuna be sentenced to imprisonment from 5 to 12 years for the crime of "establishing an organization with the aim of committing a crime", and also, in accordance with the relevant article of the Turkish Penal Code, it was requested that the organization members be punished as perpetrators for all crimes committed within the framework of the organization's activities. In this context, it was requested that the suspects be sentenced to imprisonment from 10.5 to 31.5 years for the crime of "making propaganda for the organization or its aims", totaling from 15.5 to 43.5 years. It was requested in the indictment that the other 17 suspects be punished with imprisonment for various crimes such as "being a member of an organization established to commit a crime", "aiding the organization", and "making propaganda for the organization or its aims".
