AFAD issued an orange alert for 13 cities and a yellow alert for 25 cities.

According to information received from the General Directorate of Meteorology, AFAD announced that a yellow alert has been issued for 25 provinces and an orange alert for 13 provinces today. A total of 17,739 personnel will be deployed in the provinces under alert.

The meteorology announced that a yellow code warning has been issued for 25 cities, while an orange code warning has been issued for 13 cities. The provinces that received the orange code warning are reported to be Adana, Antalya, Erzincan, Giresun, Ordu, Tokat, Tunceli, Bayburt, Gümüşhane, Mersin, Kahramanmaraş, Rize, and Trabzon.



The provinces with a yellow code warning are as follows: Kars, Nevşehir, Niğde, Konya, Aksaray, Karaman, Sivas, Samsun, Malatya, Adıyaman, Gaziantep, Osmaniye, Hatay, Elazığ, Bingöl, Erzurum, Artvin, Muş, Bitlis, Siirt, Şırnak, Hakkari, Van, Ağrı, and Kayseri. In the statement, it was noted that a total of 5,092 reports were received from the provinces with orange and yellow code warnings, and efforts to intervene in the reports and to evacuate stranded citizens to safe areas are ongoing.



Due to the rainfall, a total of 2,053 citizens stranded in Kayseri, Malatya, and Sivas have been accommodated in public facilities and hotels, while efforts to place 710 citizens who requested shelter are ongoing.

In a statement from AFAD, the following information was provided regarding the ongoing efforts and the latest situation in the warned provinces: "In the operations carried out in our warned provinces, a total of 17,739 personnel and 7,330 vehicles are on duty."



EDUCATION SUSPENDED IN 11 PROVINCES



Due to heavy snowfall, education and training have been suspended for 1 day on November 25, Monday, in 11 of our provinces (Bayburt, Gümüşhane, Nevşehir, Sivas, Tokat, Yozgat, Ordu, Bolu, Kayseri, and Niğde province as a whole, as well as in the Tufanbeyli district of Adana).



Due to snow and blizzards, roads have been closed to traffic at a total of 91 different points in our provinces of Karaman, Aksaray, Mersin, Kayseri, Konya, Nevşehir, Kahramanmaraş, Sivas, Niğde, Tunceli, Gümüşhane, and Erzincan. A total of 12,130 food packages/soups, along with drinks and water, have been distributed by AFAD, the Red Crescent, municipalities, and non-governmental organizations. Distribution efforts are ongoing.
