In Düzce, businessman Tanju Acar found the first car he sold 41 years ago to start a business, which had remained a dream for him, in a junk condition in Konya and had it restored in 7 months. While gifting the car, which he named "Maviş," to his grandson, Acar expressed that his biggest dream is to take a photo in the same place with his friend, who is suffering from cancer, just like they did 41 years ago.

Businessman Tanju Acar (62) had to sell his first car, which he bought with the support of his cousin and named "Maviş," after his military service to establish a business. Acar, who could not forget this situation that remained in his heart for years, did not give up on finding the vehicle he located 15 years ago.
Years later, Acar found the car, which the owner did not sell at that time, in a junk condition in Konya and had it brought to Düzce by a truck. The vehicle, delivered to the bodywork master Ruhi Ozan in the Aziziye neighborhood, was completely renewed from its body to its engine and from its electrical components to its upholstery after approximately 7 months of meticulous work, regaining its original appearance.
"I WAS VERY EMOTIONAL"
Acar stated in a statement while receiving his restored vehicle from the workshop that he experienced very emotional moments. Expressing that the car has a very high sentimental value for him, Acar said:
"The story of this is very long. We bought this vehicle with the support of my late aunt's son. I had not gone to the military. Later, I went and came back. Due to my work, I had to sell it because I needed support. But it remained in my heart. Years later, I pursued my car and found it. The car was in Konya; we bought it and brought it here. Thanks to my master Ruhi, the car was brought to this condition. I became very emotional seeing it like this."
"I NEVER GAVE UP FOR YEARS"
Acar, who expressed that he worked hard to find the vehicle, said, "We pursued it; the owner did not want to give the car. Later, he wanted to give the car, but we had no means. But I never gave up for years."
Acar stated that he gifted the car, which he named "Maviş," to his 5-year-old grandson Ayaz as a great example of loyalty, saying, "I think if he looks at the car with the same feelings, it will last another 40 years."
WILL RECREATE A PHOTO WITH HIS CANCER-STRICKEN FRIEND FROM 41 YEARS AGO
Acar, who shared that one of his biggest dreams is related to his school friend Talat, who is undergoing cancer treatment, said, "We have photos taken with this car with Talat. He is currently undergoing cancer treatment. He cried when he heard. I promised my brother. We will go to Abant and take the same photo."
"IT NEEDED A WITNESS TO BE CALLED A VEHICLE"
Bodywork master Ruhi Ozan stated that the vehicle was unrecognizable when it came to him. Noting that every part of the vehicle was scattered, Ozan said, "I always feel proud because I did it. When the vehicle came to me, it was trash. It needed a witness to be called a vehicle. It was just pieces. We collected it and tried to fix it. This is how much we could do. I felt proud while working on the car. It took us 6-7 months to restore the vehicle. We brought it to this condition in 7 months. This is an effort, something done as a hobby."
